Independent operator moves closer to Maersk North Sea acquisition

Independent operator RockRose Energy has moved a step closer to taking control of Maersk’s stakes in the Scott and Telford fields following approval of the bid from the Oil and Gas authority.

This deal with Maersk is part of RockRose’s larger North Sea acquisition strategy which also includes a conditional sale and purchase agreement with Egerton Energy Ventures to acquire the entire issued and yet to be issued of the company’s interests in the Galahad and Mordred gas fields.

Looking to the completion of these acquisitions, coupled with the signing of a non-binding heads of terms to take ownership of small non-operated interests in the Southern North Sea, has led RockRose to forecast an aggregate production of 1,400 barrels of oil, or equivalent, per day.

RockRose’s impressive leadership team includes executive chairman Andrew Austin, a veteran of both the energy and financial industries.
